Get Up: What it means to Skateboard

This video uses graffiti-style typography and halftone, poster-like textures to visually romanticise the act of falling in skateboarding. Raw, expressive type bursts onto the screen with the same energy and unpredictability as a slam, while halftone overlays evoke DIY zines and underground skate culture. The visual language leans into imperfection—celebrating the grit, repetition, and beauty in failure. Rather than portraying falling as defeat, the video reframes it as part of the creative process, echoing the resilience and artistry that define skateboarding.

Bold & Beyond Logo Reveal

This logo reveal for Bold and Beyond branding agency uses a mixed media animation style that blends digital and physical processes. The concept revolves around a fluid stroke—a key branding element for Bold and Beyond—which animates across a sequence of frames before transforming into the final logo. To bring this to life, each animation frame was printed, physically stuck to different surfaces, and photographed, creating a textured, tactile feel that echoes the agency’s bold, hands-on approach. The visual was paired with Kendrick Lamar’s N95, a trending audio on Instagram at the time, aligning the piece with a popular visual trend where logos were revealed in real-world environments. This strategic move helped the video gain significant traction and audience engagement. The project was crafted using Procreate for frame-by-frame animation, Photoshop for lighting and colour adjustments on the photographed frames, and Premiere Pro for final editing and audio sync.
